About the Northern Scot

The Northern Scot was founded in 1880, is the main newspaper for Moray, and is the biggest selling weekly newspaper in the North of Scotland. We publish on a Friday, and also have a free title, The Midweek Extra, which is published on a Wednesday.

An award-winning, campaigning newspaper, we jealously guard our reputation for serving the community and for providing independent editorial content with quality news, sport and photographic coverage.
